We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer to join a global consultancy firm that plays a pivotal role in supporting clients in diverse industries, particularly within the UK energy sector. This position is crucial in driving the UK's efforts towards achieving its Net Zero Carbon goals by assisting organizations in power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
The Chief Engineer will assume a senior role within the HV electrical engineering team, focusing on:

  • Providing technical oversight and governance to engineering teams.
  • Ensuring quality assurance across projects.
  • Developing capabilities and strategic planning.
  • Reviewing and approving bid proposals.
  • Leading the technical execution of projects.
  • Managing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Traveling to client sites or other company offices as required.

Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, candidates should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and ideally be working towards Chartered Engineer status. A strong background in HV electrical engineering is essential, along with a passion for technical excellence and complex project management.

Experience:
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of delivering multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, establish project frameworks, and deliver effective solutions for intricate challenges in the transmission and distribution sector.

Additional Qualifications:
Possession of BP141 / TP141 Design Assurance qualification or equivalent is advantageous.

Work Arrangement:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility in work location.
