About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HV Plant Substation Design Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding projects and contributing to the development and implementation of our client's projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership on FEED and Detail Design workstreams for National Grid, SSEN-Transmission, or other Transmission & Distribution clients.
  • Ensure adequate quality assurance and delivery of FEED, Detailed Design, and bids for our clients.
  • Coordinate with back-office engineers, sub-contractors, and suppliers as required.
  • Review HV plant aspects of different projects, including HV layouts, elevations, maintenance access drawings, earthing design, and reports.
  • Act as Principal Designer Representative when required.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer through the IET or working towards.
  • Experience in a leadership/management position in a similar environment.
  • Strong understanding and leadership of engineering projects through asset lifecycles.
  • Track record of leading teams in the delivery of Front-End Engineering and design or Detailed Design of EHV (132kV-400kV) substation projects.
  • BP141/TP141 HV Substation qualification or equivalent authorized.
