As a key member of our operating theatre team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment, assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, and providing high-quality care to patients.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment, we'd love to have you on board.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating theatre for surgeries by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, retractor, and other necessary items
  • Monitor patients throughout the surgical process, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and positive surgical outcomes
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced staff members


Requirements

  • Registered (RN/RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification
  • Valid and clear registration with the NMC or HCPC
  • Proven experience in a Scrub role (Minimum 6 months)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
