Job Opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and understanding educator to provide tailored support for a pupil with an EHCP for Autism in a community school in Bolton.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate tailored learning in all subjects. The role requires the ability to adjust approach to changes in behavior with SEN pupils and demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to drive or access to transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with Autism
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Support the pupil with daily living skills and personal care
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Ability to adjust approach to changes in behavior with SEN pupils
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to drive or access to transport
  • Qualifications and training for this role

What We Offer:

  • Competitive rate of £14 per hour
  • Monday to Friday, availability
  • Support from the class teacher, SENCO, and other members of the Senior Leadership Team
