Electrical Instructor Opportunity

Newcastle College is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Electrical Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning programs in Electrical Installations across various levels of further education and apprenticeship provision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess learning programs in Electrical Installations
  • Undertake program leadership, tutorial, and administration duties
  • Develop and maintain a strong background in Electrical and the Built Environment

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the Built Environment with an Electrical installation Domestic Commercial or electrotechnical bias
  • Relevant built environment electrical qualifications at L3 minimum, AM2, and electrical inspection
  • Post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of effective program leadership in FE, HE, and/or Apprenticeships
  • Proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills

About the Role:

The Construction Building Services department is a well-respected and positive place to work, where colleagues work effectively together to ensure all stakeholders get the best value from every aspect of the curriculum.

Working Hours:

The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand.
