Senior Accounts Assistant Role

A dynamic and growing SME in the Camberley area is seeking a highly skilled and efficient Senior Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the department by ensuring the seamless execution of both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, as well as assisting with financial reporting & analysis and preparation of budgets & forecasts.

For the right individual, there is a clear path for career progression, as the company will provide support for professional development with training and mentoring, which may include a study support package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate data entry for accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Implement effective credit control measures.
  • Assist in financial reporting and analysis, providing insightful data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Handle queries related to invoices and payments, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable roles.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, with intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to assist with whatever is required.
  • Degree in accountancy & finance and/or AAT (desirable).
