About the Role

The successful candidate will join the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London, as a Clinical Research Fellow. They will work within the Parkinson's disease (PD) group, which focuses on the clinical, genetic, and biomarker aspects in people with PD and at risk of PD.

About the Centre

The Centre for Preventive Neurology is a leading international research centre that brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. The Centre's focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies, and their practical implementation.

About the Job

The Clinical Research Fellow will undertake research assessments and investigations as part of the clinical research team and under the supervision of the Professor of Neurology and Neuroepidemiology and the Consultant Neurologist. The post-holder will be expected to assist with specific aspects of the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and related projects, including clinical assessments, biological sample collection, and data analysis and quality control.

About You

Candidates must have a Medical degree (MB BS or equivalent) and an MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification would be desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to complete a research project as part of the post and present the results (conference abstract or publication).
