About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Worker to join our team at a specialist school for children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social skills, emotional wellbeing, and mental health of our students.

Our school provides an alternative education for children who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and school refusal due to developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences. We are looking for someone with a degree in a related field or experience working with young people who can provide a safe and supportive environment for our students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the social skills, emotional wellbeing, and mental health of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Work closely with trained professionals, including Psychologists and Therapists, to provide a comprehensive support package for our students
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to express themselves and develop their emotional intelligence
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for our students
Requirements

We are looking for someone with a degree in a related field or experience working with young people who is passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children. You will need to be resilient, empathetic, and able to work effectively with children who have experienced trauma.
