Operational Risk Manager Job Description

Citi, a leading global bank, seeks a skilled Operational Risk Manager to join its team. With a presence in over 160 countries and a customer base of approximately 200 million, Citi provides a wide range of financial products and services to consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational risk policies, technology, and tools to minimize losses from internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Assess and drive actions to address root causes of operational risk losses, challenging historical and proposed practices.
  • Provide governance and oversight, including technology operational risk.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Issues Management (KPI/KRI/Corrective Action Plans).
  • Resolve transactional level escalations from vendors or internal partners.
  • Analyze scorecards and performance management tools to mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory).
  • Monitor goals through performance, risk, and relationship oversight of the extended supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across business users and Lines of Defence to understand and deliver customer requirements.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience navigating and networking across an enterprise, with Third Party Oversight/Vendor Oversight experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational processes and technology platforms supporting operations.
  • Business writing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
