Senior Finance Leader

Location: London - Hybrid

Salary: £60k-£65k + equity options & benefits

At Hired By Startups, we are collaborating with a fast-growing technology company in the hospitality sector, seeking a Senior Finance Leader to oversee their financial operations as they expand.

As the primary finance professional in the organization, you will be expected to handle daily financial tasks while also engaging in strategic discussions with other department heads.

If you are a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) eager to contribute to a dynamic and rapidly evolving startup with a strong workplace culture, this opportunity may be ideal for you.

Role Responsibilities

In your capacity as Senior Finance Leader, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, cash flow projections, and VAT submissions (with external assistance).
  • Establishing a framework of strong financial controls across various functions.
  • Managing and evaluating the company's financial model.
  • Enhancing and streamlining financial systems and processes.
  • Collaborating with senior management on strategic growth and expansion projects.
  • Developing a finance team in the near future.

Candidate Profile

To succeed as a Senior Finance Leader, you should possess:

  • A recognized accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience in a standalone finance role, without the support of a CFO.
  • A background in a startup or small to medium-sized enterprise.
  • A willingness to manage daily financial operations while also contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Previous experience in hiring and leading a finance team is advantageous.
