We are seeking an experienced Land Buyer to join our team at Vistry Northern Home Counties, based in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our commercial land acquisition team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring viable land development opportunities in the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and evaluate potential land development sites, both on and off market, for delivery in the short to medium term.
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, land agents, landowners, and other developers to secure land acquisition opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Planning Manager to obtain planning consents, discharge planning conditions, and manage S106 obligations and CIL payments.
- Work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, sales, and affordable housing teams to monitor site progress and ensure successful project delivery.
- Negotiate legal agreements with lawyers and third parties to secure land acquisition and development opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the residential market and a network of contacts within the industry.
- Knowledge of national and local planning policies and the ability to identify viable land development opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Technical ability and good understanding of the planning process, including residual appraisals and Excel.
