CMD Recruitment is seeking a proficient CNC Machine Operator to join a leading company in the rail braking systems sector, known for serving prominent clients worldwide. Due to an increased workload, we are looking for a skilled individual to fill this contract position.


The successful candidate will take a proactive role in setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring seamless collaboration with fellow machinists.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, load, and operate CNC machines efficiently.
  • Verify that all tools, fixtures, and gauges meet specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Follow quality assurance and inspection protocols.
  • Utilize measuring instruments competently.
  • Maintain high standards in machining and finishing tasks.

Candidate Profile:
  • Demonstrated expertise in CNC machine setup and operation.
  • Experience with Verniers, micrometers, and DTI.
  • Flexibility to assist in additional roles as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in computer usage.

This role involves working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off schedule, specifically during daytime hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.


A strong background in CNC setting and operation, coupled with a hands-on approach, will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
