Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Bristol. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be able to provide support to students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support to students with SEN
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to support student learning
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including photocopying, printing, and display boards
  • Offer emotional support to students and staff
  • Monitor students during break times
  • Participate in school trips and extra-curricular activities
  • Attend training sessions to develop skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children
  • Strong understanding of SEN and ability to support individual needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding and safe working practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Team player with a great sense of humor
