Blue Arrow Brentwood is seeking a number of Class 2 delivery drivers for a prominent client in the logistics sector. Due to a surge in delivery volumes, we are looking for reliable Class 2 drivers for ongoing temporary positions.

Role Overview

As a multi-drop HGV driver, you will work alongside a Driver's Mate to ensure timely and courteous delivery of goods to our clients' locations. Your commitment to safety and punctuality is crucial in maintaining our high service standards.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts during peak times.

Your primary responsibilities will include delivering products within a designated area, with support from a Driver's Mate.

Providing excellent customer service is vital, as our customers are central to our operations. Every delivery should be handled with care and professionalism.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of three years of driving experience and agree to a thorough license verification process.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all customer orders are properly secured and packaged before departure
  • Collaborate with your Driver's Mate to review delivery schedules and customer orders
  • Communicate any delivery delays or issues to customers
  • Assist in unloading products at customer locations
  • Collect and manage returns, ensuring proper handling at the depot
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic proof of delivery tasks
  • Maintain compliance with tachograph regulations

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong familiarity with local road networks
  • At least three years of driving experience, including a minimum of twelve months in a Class 2 role
  • Possession of a valid HGV driving license and CPC certification
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience with multi-drop deliveries is advantageous but not mandatory.
