Role Overview: We are in search of Class 1 HGV Operators who are dynamic, approachable, and prioritize safety in their work.

We offer a modern truck and equipment, and candidates should possess a clean driving record along with a valid driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a full-time, permanent basis from our Heathrow location.
  • Be flexible and available to work at least one weekend day each week.
  • Possess a minimum of 2-3 years of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
  • Generally work between 40-50 hours weekly, with potential for extended hours and weekend shifts, particularly during peak periods.

Shift Patterns:

  • Various shift patterns available.
  • Average shift length ranges from 8 to 12 hours.
  • Options for Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts.

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driving license with the appropriate categories C / C+E.
  • Professional Driving Qualification (CPC).
  • Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
  • Successful completion of background checks.
  • Pass a standard drug and alcohol test.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on the driving license (no DD, DR, or IN endorsements accepted).

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize health and safety in all operations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Maintain electronic logs for tracking routes and deliveries.
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks on delivery vehicles and report any issues to the transport manager.
  • Utilize navigation apps and local knowledge to ensure timely deliveries to fulfillment centers.
  • Engage with stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Ability to drive in various weather conditions.
