We work with some of the biggest Transport Operators, Trailer Manufacturers, and Supermarkets in the UK, and are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team to further establish, approve, and drive the regional product line agenda.
You will be the 'customers' voice', being the products' link between the market on one hand, and the sales teams, and functions on the other. You will prioritize requirements based on what's best for SAF-HOLLAND/Haldex and coordinate organizational agreement and execution.
Main Responsibilities- Product Management and Strategy: Develop and implement product management strategies for the Product Line, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Regional Product Strategy: Prepare and drive regional product strategies, taking into account market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Product Roadmap Development: Create product roadmaps based on company strategy, identifying key product features, and prioritizing development efforts.
- Business Planning: Develop business plans, including growth and profitability projections, overall investment, and manufacturing recommendations.
- Profitability and Cost Management: Continuously monitor profitability and drive necessary improvements based on available data.
- Time to Market, Margin, and Cost Targets: Drive time to market, margin, and cost targets in the field of the Product Line.
- Customer Request Management: Filter incoming customer requests for applications, if required to become projects.
- Global Branding and Messaging: Recommend global branding and overall messaging for the Product Line.
- Product Development and Support: Coordinate customer-related activities inside and outside the company, together with sales, and support sales department in the preparation of quotations and the conclusion of contracts.
- Cooperation with Global Project and Development Teams: Cooperate with global project and development teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Technical Discussions: Support technical discussions with suppliers, customers, and partners at home and abroad.
- Product Launch Plans and Strategy: Decide on product launch plans, product positioning, and strategy.
- Internal and External Function Support: Support internal and external functions during operational market launch.
- Marketing Mix Determination: Determine the marketing mix for the Product Line.
- IP Protection: Support adequate IP protection.
- Life Cycle Management: Establish End-of-Life Phase Out Plan and Product discontinuation.
- Strategic and Technical Documents: Create strategic and technical documents and roadmaps as well as customer and product presentations.
- Product Training: Provide product training to Sales and Customers.
- Market Analysis: Continuously analyze the market, customers, and the competition.
- Market Trends and Megatrends: Follow up Market Trends and Megatrends.
- Sales Forecasts and Competitive Comparisons: Create sales forecasts, identify expected trends, and create competitive comparisons in cooperation with sales.
- Education: Minimum BSc in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable.
- Additional Education: Additional education in the field of management or business administration is an advantage.
- APQP Training and Experience: APQP Training and Experience.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in product management and B2B.
- Automotive Sector Experience: Experience in the automotive sector, especially in the commercial vehicle segment.
- Change Management and Project Management Experience: Experience from Change Management and Project Management is an advantage.
