Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grounds Person to join our friendly garden team at THE PIG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel grounds, ensuring they are well-presented and functional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of the hotel grounds, including lawns, trees, and formal borders.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen garden team to ensure a harmonious and productive garden environment.
- Report directly to the Head Grounds Person, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Interact with guests daily, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Assist with animal husbandry, including caring for pigs, chickens, and quails.
- Maintain and repair garden machinery, including petrol strimmers and mowers.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably with PA1 & PA6 usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confident communication skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending.
