Job Summary

Solmar Villas, a leading independent villa holiday specialist, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing our key accounts, building strong relationships, and driving growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Manage relationships with our key account tour operators, including setting up and attending regular meetings to nurture those relationships, track performance, and identify areas for business growth.
  • Product Promotion: Promote new services and products through our distribution channels.
  • Trading Reviews: Lead on key accounts trading reviews, identifying actions required to take advantage of opportunities or reduce risk associated with the increase in volume, margin, or revenue.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide regular forecasts and updates on performance and sales analysis.
  • Channel Development: Develop opportunities to broaden channels of distribution to achieve volume growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure good communication between our key accounts and Solmar service and delivery teams.
  • Trade Shows: Attend relevant trade shows as required to develop business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Negotiation and Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with experience of presenting to and influencing a wide variety of audiences at a senior level, with examples of commercial and contractual negotiations.
  • Relationship Building: Confident and competent at networking and nurturing important relationships, both face-to-face, by phone, and digitally.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Industry Knowledge: A strong knowledge of industry systems and processes.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: A self-starter, able to work on own initiative while maintaining a strong team player mentality.
  • API Connectivity: A good understanding of API connectivity.
  • Technology Skills: Computer literate and comfortable using technology such as Salesforce CRM systems and MS Office suite.
  • Travel Requirements: A UK driving license and the ability to travel regularly within the UK and on occasion within Europe.
