Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team at O-I. As a key member of our facility, you will be responsible for driving safety performance and promoting a safe workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on safety best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement safety initiatives.
- Monitor and report on safety metrics and performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
