As a Senior Project Engineer for Signalling within Works Delivery, you will lead a dynamic team delivering large-scale projects that require expertise in engineering standards, design, and construction. Your role will involve:

  • Leading and managing the application of engineering standards to ensure compliance with legislation, Railway Group, and Network Rail company standards.
  • Monitoring the competence of project engineers and providing guidance, direction, and briefing.
  • Applying engineering controls and procedures to ensure high-quality and safe design, construction, commissioning, and other technical activities.
  • Conducting risk assessments and HAZOP analysis to identify potential environmental and safety risks.
  • Monitoring projects for compliance with Railway Group and Network Rail company standards and project control procedures.
  • Advising project and programme management on construction activities, testing, and commissioning.
  • Monitoring the competency of contractors' design, construction, and specialist personnel.
  • Carrying out the duties of designated project engineer (DPE).

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi-discipline areas.
  • Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects.
  • Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance.
  • Appreciation of environmental issues in engineering works.

Salary: £55,596- £69,496 (Band 3C) plus Inner London Allowance £3,270.
