About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Broomfleet site in Gilberdyke. As a key member of our in-house maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.

You will work closely with our team of engineers to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues, utilizing your analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair equipment.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of maintenance skills, including fabrication, welding, and service engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections and repairs
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM)
  • Work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience working in manufacturing/factory environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Diagnostics experience of hydraulics, pneumatic, and drive chain fault finding
