Role Overview: As a CCTV Operations Specialist, you will serve as the primary communication link during emergencies and will oversee the routine monitoring of safety and security systems across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systematically monitor CCTV footage to safeguard the well-being of the public, staff, and contractors.
  • Effectively manage the FM Radio System for clear communication.
  • Oversee all life safety systems, including fire alarms and intruder systems, ensuring prompt action when necessary.
  • Handle inquiries via intercom and telephone with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Control access to sensitive areas, including loading zones and control suites.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and activities in the occurrence log.
  • Supervise contractor activities on-site to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct site patrols as required, contributing to a secure shopping environment.
  • Assist with traffic management within parking areas to minimize congestion.
  • Participate in first aid training as needed and adhere to all security regulations.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum education of GCSE or NVQ level 3.
  • Valid SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate.
  • SIA Guarding or Door Supervisors licence.

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Experience in a control room setting.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong relationship management skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in work approach.
  • Attention to detail and strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
