Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Neuroradiologist to join our team of experienced professionals at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our diagnostic neuroradiology service, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and prioritizing imaging requests to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis for patients.
  • Collaborating with a team of Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologists and Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologists to provide comprehensive diagnostic neuroradiology services.
  • Participating in clinical-radiological meetings and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to foster collaboration and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Providing on-call services for diagnostic neuroradiology to ensure patients have access to your expertise when needed.
  • Engaging in research, audit activities, and educational initiatives to contribute to the growth of future medical professionals.
  • Sharing on-call commitment equally with existing consultants to promote a fair and balanced workload.
Requirements
  • Basic medical degree.
  • FRCR or appropriate specialist qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT in Radiology or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC).
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC.
Desirable Criteria
  • Higher Degree.
  • Distinctions, scholarships, prizes, or other degrees (e.g., BSc, MSc, MS).
  • Neuroradiology subspecialty training in Cross Sectional reporting.
  • Experience of reporting complex neuroimaging.
  • Understanding of clinical risk management.
  • An ability to communicate well with patients and staff.
