Job Title: Building Control Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Control Project Manager to join our team at ATS Recruitment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing building control services on a variety of domestic, residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This will involve working with homeowners, builders, architects, and agents to ensure that any work carried out complies with Building Regulations and associated legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-application advice to clients/potential clients in relation to Building Regulations.
  • Assess and set fees ensuring that the scope of work is agreed with the client.
  • Generate quotations.
  • Vet applicable documents to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation and guidance.
  • Attend client and design meetings.
  • Carry out plan checks to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Carry out site inspections of work to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Ensure that all projects and inspection records, etc. are accurately recorded on the company database.
  • Compile technical reports.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company's QA procedures.
  • Develop and maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify and secure new business.
  • Participate in training as necessary to remain up to date with new systems of work and legislation and to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support new members of staff as necessary.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Building Regulations and associated legislation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have a strong attention to detail.
