Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Building Surveyor to join our team in Birmingham. As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing building surveying services to clients, including contract administration, dilapidations, party wall, landlord and tenant, defect analysis and rectification, developing client briefs, project delivery, JCT contract administration, technical compliance, specification writing, and producing schedules of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver building surveying services to clients, including contract administration, dilapidations, party wall, landlord and tenant, defect analysis and rectification, developing client briefs, project delivery, JCT contract administration, technical compliance, specification writing, and producing schedules of work.
  • Work independently with a strong team spirit and a positive attitude to service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure excellent customer service and repeat business.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the company by identifying new business opportunities and implementing effective strategies to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Relevant Construction Degree in Building Surveying & working towards final assessment with RICS or recently completed APC.
  • Working knowledge of a range of building surveying services.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong team spirit and a positive attitude to service delivery.
  • Experience or understanding in delivering core building surveying services such as:

Additional Skills

  • Awareness of the Principal Designer role.
  • Design experience (using AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of NEC Contracts (Option C).
  • Project Cost Control.
