Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Airfield Engineering Asset Project Engineer to join our team at TS Tech Americas, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of new manufacturing equipment, working closely with equipment suppliers, installation teams, and TSAM R&D to ensure successful transition to full utilization and maturation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to resolve problems and improve manufacturing processes.
- Examine manufacturing processes and drive improvements through kaizen events, working with other departments to innovate data-driven projects related to quality, productivity, and management index analysis.
- Identify current process limitations, perform root cause analysis, and propose creative solutions to improve product output and quality while reducing costs.
- Support prototype and testing builds, and experience with 3D CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks, eDrawings).
- Develop and maintain schedules for development, specification maturation, appearance verification, and Mass Production start-up support.
- Identify, track, and prioritize resolution of project concerns, and develop process layouts and determine specification of equipment, jigs, and tools to achieve efficient production processes.
- Ensure schedules and CAD models/drawings are accurate and meet standard procedures and ISO policies.
- Support department innovation through benchmarking, proof of concept, research activities, and development proposals.
- Communicate effectively between production, PE, and scheduling departments to create and implement countermeasure activity and improvement schedules.
- Provide reports to upper management as requested/needed, and utilize preventative quality techniques to improve product quality, reduce in-line defects, and reduce scrap.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of operations and engineering practices and procedures within a JIT manufacturing environment.
- Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Previous manufacturing/engineering experience is preferred.
