Role Purpose:

To oversee and coordinate all Fit and Proper activity across the organisation, ensuring compliance with the 4th National Lottery Licence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate stakeholder activities, including People Team, Legal, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, and Protective Security.
  • Maintain a central tracking database to ensure accurate reflection of Fit and Proper activity.
  • Provide internal reporting information as requested.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the Gambling Commission for updates, queries, waivers, consents, and notifications.
  • Develop and deliver awareness of Fit and Proper within the wider business.
  • Own and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
  • Escalate queries generated from Fit and Proper checks.
Key Measures of Success:
  • All stakeholders are aware of and effectively discharging their responsibilities.
  • The central tracker accurately reflects the current state of Fit and Proper activity.
  • Escalations and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • GC engagement takes place to the required time scales, providing assurance that Fit and Proper is being handled appropriately.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of Fit and Proper checks.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective communication.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to track multiple activities.
