Exciting Opportunity in a Growing Charity Retailer
Compensation: Up to £30,000 per annum based on experience
Our client, a prominent and expanding charity retailer, is seeking a dedicated Retail Operations Manager to oversee their flagship store located on Portobello Road, London.
As the Retail Operations Manager, your key role will be to enhance revenue generation while ensuring that all performance targets are consistently met and surpassed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Area Manager to communicate stock needs and ensure the store's compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the store in alignment with company policies.
- Achieve annual financial goals and contribution benchmarks for the store.
- Meet and exceed store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team effectively.
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
- Oversee visual merchandising efforts to maximize store appeal.
- Drive initiatives to attract new customers to the store.
- Engage with the local community to foster relationships.
- Recruit and manage volunteers to support store operations.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Store Manager in the charity or retail sector.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Strong awareness of KPIs and a results-driven mindset.
- Experience working towards targets in a customer-centric environment.
- Dynamic, motivated, and possess a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to accommodate store operating hours, including weekends.
- Demonstrated success in managing a profitable operation with significant growth.
- Experience in leading a large team of volunteers, including recruitment and training, alongside excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- A solid understanding of charity retail is advantageous, coupled with a genuine passion for the charity sector.
