About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in our digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and improve software solutions using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Requirements
  • Experience in Abinitio, Hadoop platform, and Cloud Technologies tool like DBT, GLUE, Lambda.
  • Strong SQL skills in Hive, Impala, and Teradata.
  • Experience working as part of an agile team of developers in credit risk regulatory and compliance data delivery projects.
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
