Cloud Data Engineer Role

At Barclays, we're seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Data and Advanced Analytics Platforms. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in harnessing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings and deliver unparalleled customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement data pipelines that ensure the transfer and processing of durable, complete, and consistent data.
  2. Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes that manage data volumes and velocity while adhering to security measures.
  3. Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
  4. Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in AWS Cloud development in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake, S3, Glue, EC2, Athena, DBT, and strong knowledge of SQL and Data Warehousing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
