Academic Instructor in Photography and Creative Industries

The University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Associate Lecturer in Photography and Creative Industries. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for preparing, teaching, and assessing students in a unit or part of a unit, contributing to the quality of learning and supporting students to achieve their academic goals.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Editor and Writer in Contemporary Photography to teach on our first-year unit, Publishing and Social Change. The successful candidate will have a strong background in writing, interviewing, and podcasting, with a particular interest in youth cultures, social practice, and the role of ethical approaches, diversity, and new creative thinking in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning materials
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies
- Work collaboratively with other academic staff to achieve departmental goals
