About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide high-level support for teaching and learning for pupils attending our brand-new autism provision at Ark Brunel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their skills and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level support for teaching and learning for pupils with autism or special educational needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote academic achievement and social skills
  • Lead learning and activities at a whole-class level, including small group and one-to-one support
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils who have autism or special educational needs
  • Good knowledge of autism-specific strategies and interventions
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, patient, and caring nature
