As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical control systems for our hi-tech capital equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop electrical control systems for new and existing products
* Write control specifications and modifications for new and existing products
* Design electrical circuits for the development and production of laser wire processing machines using ePLAN or similar electrical design software
* Generate build documentation and parts lists for the purchasing department
* Write commissioning procedures for machines
* Keep up with the latest standards that are applicable to electrical control systems
* Work with electrical suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions are found

Requirements:

* Qualified to a minimum of HND or preferably degree level in electrical or electronic engineering
* Electrical drawing package experience (preferably ePLAN)
* Electrical machine/control panel design experience with reference to risk assessment and applicable safety standards
* New product introduction experience – design, build, commission, and test
* Willingness to travel and undertake customer visits if required
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
