We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer of hi-tech capital equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical control systems.

This role is ideal for an Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in electrical controls and automation engineering, designing and developing complex machinery or systems.

The Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop control specifications and modifications for new and existing products
  2. Design electrical circuits for the development and production of laser wire processing machines using ePLAN or similar electrical design software
  3. Generate build documentation and parts lists for the purchasing department
  4. Write commissioning procedures for machines
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest standards applicable to electrical control systems
  6. Collaborate with electrical suppliers to find cost-effective solutions

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Hold a minimum of HND or preferably degree level in electrical or electronic engineering
  2. Have experience with electrical drawing packages (preferably ePLAN)
  3. Have experience in electrical machine/control panel design, including risk assessment and applicable safety standards
  4. Have experience with new product introduction, including design, build, commission, and test
  5. Be willing to travel and undertake customer visits if required
  6. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
