Job Title: Control & Instrumentation Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Control & Instrumentation Project Engineer to join our team at Belcan, a specialist technical services provider and engineering consultancy.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide vital support to the TD Manager to ensure the effective administration of multiple project work scopes. This role brings oversight to the coordination of all stages of the projects, to ensure efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development of scope of work documents, including engaging terminal stakeholders to capture key project requirements and referencing all available documentation to clearly articulate project requirements in concise language.
  • Identify the required legislation, codes, standards, and specifications to be adhered to throughout the project and list key deliverables to be produced during the design stage.
  • Ensure effective project management controls are implemented by the design contractor and communicate the project schedule that should be followed.
  • Partake and lead in tender events with key nominated suppliers (via dedicated frameworks) and implement good project management controls for all assigned projects.
  • Identify and capture project risks on necessary project registers and actively review the quality of all design documentation produced by awarded contractors.
  • Facilitate and arrange stakeholder workshops/engagement and ensure the scope of work is fully met and all solutions are code-compliant.
  • Understand and adhere to all necessary contractual requirements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in Fire & Gas replacement projects with strong Control & Instrumentation project delivery background. A minimum of 10 years' experience working in the industry: LNG - Liquified Natural Gas, Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore), Petrochemical, Utilities, Top tier COMAH sites is required.

Remuneration will reflect the technical nature of the role and the responsibility that it carries.
