As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our payroll department. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Process weekly expenses in accordance with company policies and HMRC legislation.
- Manage new employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including pension setup and P45/P60 administration.
- Input and verify a high volume of payroll data, such as overtime, bonuses, allowances, and statutory payments.
- Handle sickness absence records and process SSP payments accurately.
- Provide administrative support to the payroll team, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
- Process court orders and manual tax calculations for various payroll elements (PAYE, SMP, SSP, SPP).
- Reconcile payroll data and generate reports such as P11d forms.
- Liaise with external agencies and respond to inquiries from organizations like the DWP, CSA, and Job Centre Plus.
- Process overseas payments and collaborate with third-party providers.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with proven experience in payroll administration. You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are adept at working independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a payroll role is essential.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are crucial.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are required for accurate data processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
- A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
