About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our transmission line projects, working closely with our construction teams to ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the business during the construction phase of projects, ensuring that suppliers carry out works in accordance with contractual requirements and SSE policies and procedures.
  • Measure completed works against the works information for payment purposes and manage compensation events.
  • Adhere to SSE Safety Management Systems, best practice, and the SSE Large Capital Projects Governance processes for all projects.
  • Represent the business accordingly and convey the SSE Safety culture.
  • Typically become involved with a project in advance of Gate 3 of the LCP process.
Requirements
  • A working engineering and construction knowledge, including safety and CDM regulations.
  • Experience in site supervision or construction at duty holder level of similarly complex works in construction or utilities.
  • An understanding of project planning and tracking progress against agreed plans, along with working knowledge of quality requirements and experience in monitoring inspection and test plans.
  • Computer literate or familiarity with computer systems and ideally with the ability to use common software such as Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including the capability of representing the project internally and externally.
