Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

The Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Tamworth. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering Turnkey Automation Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
  • Be involved in the final assembly of products and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Create technical documentation, project reports, and plans to support design and delivery.
  • Update 3D models and drawings to reflect design changes and improvements.
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Check drawings for sign-off and ensure they meet company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects.

Requirements:

  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position.
  • Previous experience in the design and delivery of Turnkey Automation Systems.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well alone and as part of a small team.
