Health and Safety Consultant
Location: Suffolk | Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Vehicle or Allowance and Comprehensive Benefits Package

Overview:
Irwin and Colton are collaborating with a prominent Highways Specialist Contractor in the UK to recruit a Health & Safety Consultant. This esteemed organization boasts a robust health and safety team and is recognized for its outstanding performance in the industry.

Role Focus:
This position will primarily engage with Highways, concentrating on one of the company's significant framework projects. Experience in Highways or with Highways England is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementing health and safety protocols and procedures on-site, ensuring adherence and staying informed about legislative updates.
2. Conducting site visits and collaborating with management to clarify responsibilities and address technical health and safety inquiries.
3. Performing audits, inspections, and investigations into incidents, while continuously identifying opportunities for enhancement in health and safety performance.
4. Liaising with clients and external stakeholders, serving as a pivotal point of contact.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal Health and Safety Consultant will possess:
- Relevant experience in a comparable role, preferably within construction, Highways, or Civil Engineering.
- A NEBOSH Certificate and ideally membership with IOSH.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a talent for managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.

This role requires a proactive individual who can lead by example and seamlessly integrate into the team.
