Job Summary:
RSK Group is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join their team in a fast-paced environment. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality environmental analysis services efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Prioritize and complete project work within established deadlines
- Ensure compliance with UKAS and RSK Group's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
- Perform equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Manage laboratory consumables and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Provide training and assistance to colleagues as needed
- Report any anomalies or discrepancies to the Supervisor
- Dispose of samples and clean equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as necessary
- Conduct regular SHEMS inspections to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- No prior chemistry experience is required, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential
- Experience in process-driven environments is preferred, but not necessary
- Strong organizational and methodical skills are required to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Physical fitness and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
- Manual handling experience is desirable, but not required
