Job Summary:

RSK Group is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join their team in a fast-paced environment. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality environmental analysis services efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Prioritize and complete project work within established deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with UKAS and RSK Group's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
  • Perform equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Manage laboratory consumables and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Provide training and assistance to colleagues as needed
  • Report any anomalies or discrepancies to the Supervisor
  • Dispose of samples and clean equipment in accordance with established protocols
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as necessary
  • Conduct regular SHEMS inspections to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • No prior chemistry experience is required, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential
  • Experience in process-driven environments is preferred, but not necessary
  • Strong organizational and methodical skills are required to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Physical fitness and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
  • Manual handling experience is desirable, but not required
