Role Summary
The Technical Lead plays a crucial role within the Digital Systems and Solutions Team, spearheading the technical direction and execution of projects. This position requires a balance of hands-on development and strategic oversight, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions while guiding a team of developers in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Vision: Establish and uphold the technical strategy for projects, aligning with business goals and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Architectural Oversight: Ensure compliance with architectural standards, develop technical specifications, and conduct code reviews to maintain high performance and security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to plan sprints and monitor project progress.
- Problem Resolution: Tackle technical challenges, research solutions, and make informed decisions to navigate obstacles.
- Quality Control: Maintain code quality through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices in software development.
- Effective Communication: Act as the primary technical liaison, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Ensure that processes are followed and continuously refined, with comprehensive documentation practices.
- Release Management: Oversee the software release process, ensuring consistent and reliable delivery of products.
- Automation: Implement automation tools for build, testing, and deployment, supporting the needs of development and operations teams.
- CI/CD Management: Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process.
- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of system architecture and deployment processes for clarity and future reference.
- Training and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and provide training on best practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience leading full-stack development teams.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science.
- Over 8 years of experience in web development.
- Proficient in C#, .Net Core, ASP .Net, Entity Framework, and Web API.
- Familiarity with Python and frameworks like Flask/Django.
- Experience in developing APIs and RESTful services.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake for database management.
- Experience with Angular for front-end development.
- In-depth understanding of Cloud (AWS) and DevOps practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- A collaborative team player who meets deadlines.
