Debt Recovery Manager Role

Flint Bishop Solicitors is seeking an experienced Debt Recovery Manager to lead our debt recovery team in Birmingham.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of debt recovery processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the debt recovery team, ensuring efficient and effective debt recovery processes.
  • Work closely with the Head of Debt Services to develop and implement debt recovery strategies.
  • Run a senior-level caseload of debt recovery matters, providing expert advice and guidance to clients.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client pitches and tenders.
  • Ensure financial targets are met within the department, both on a personal and team level.
  • Assist with the recruitment process for new team members.
  • Ensure compliance with firm-wide and departmental SLAs and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior fee-earners, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Oversee the management information produced within the team, preparing reports for senior management.
  • Liaise directly with commercial clients, providing expert advice and guidance on debt recovery matters.
  • Develop bespoke debt recovery paths for commercial clients.
  • Attend client meetings and provide in-depth client reports.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in debt recovery or a related field, with a strong understanding of debt recovery processes and procedures.
  • Previous supervisory experience, with a track record of managing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
