Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement: Support the procurement process by sourcing products and commodities, placing purchase orders, and managing requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Order Replenishment: Utilize the company's Order Replenishment System (MRP) to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the smooth flow of materials.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Monitor and maintain KPIs to optimize supply chain performance, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and hauliers to confirm estimated arrival times, ensuring on-time delivery of materials.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Work closely with Contract Managers to ensure material availability and timely deliveries.
  • Reporting & Administration: Manage weekly reporting, handle purchasing queries, and stay on top of all purchasing and hiring activities.
Requirements:
  • Procurement Experience: Previous experience in a procurement-based role, ideally within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong business acumen and a cost-conscious approach, with a drive to implement improvements and add value.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all procurement activities.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Order Replenishment Systems and experience using QuickBooks for managing orders and reporting.
  • Proactive Attitude: A motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: £28,000 to £32,000, reflecting your experience and expertise.
