Evera Recruitment Ltd is in search of a talented Hybrid Powertrain Engineer to become a vital part of our client's esteemed team, recognized globally in the luxury automotive sector.

The ideal candidate will facilitate the development of both in-house and outsourced powertrain software, hardware, and calibrations for upcoming Hybrid and Electric powertrain families, contributing to the creation of a concept Hybrid platform.



Key Responsibilities of the Hybrid Powertrain Engineer:
  • Oversee and assist in powertrain software and calibration tasks on designated projects, while sharing and disseminating knowledge within the broader team.
  • Ensure that Hybrid On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) requirements are established and validated in accordance with the system design specifications.
  • Provide insights into the significance of OBD within the hybrid vehicle framework to the wider OBD team.

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings from test bed, rig, vehicle testing, and environmental assessments, and present these findings to various stakeholders, including technical directors.

Manage the progress and reporting of all Hybrid concept deliverables, ensuring adherence to cost, time, and quality benchmarks.

Lead and coordinate OBD initiatives within the Hybrid Concept team for specified vehicle programs, as directed by the Head of Hybrid Concept, while ensuring compliance with Global Regulatory standards.


Qualifications for the Hybrid Powertrain Engineer:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Recent hands-on experience with Hybrid On-Board Diagnostics and the application of emerging technologies, including Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).
  • Extensive experience in a Senior Engineer role within an automotive manufacturing environment or consultancy, with direct expertise in On-Board diagnostics and calibration delivery for gasoline engines on test beds and in vehicles to meet regulatory standards.
