Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hernshead Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating engineering solutions on a variety of projects, with a focus on mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop new mechanical systems and components using 3D CAD software, producing detail drawings to BS8888.
- Manage projects from concept design to in-service investigation, ensuring timely delivery and quality of results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering solutions, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including CAD files, drawings, and bill of materials.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve engineering solutions and processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to complex engineering problems.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, including Inventor, CATIA, and Solidworks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
