Job Description

Overview

Assystem GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Project Lead Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of Onshore, Marine, or Crane systems for critical Client work packages. As a key member of our Client Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-discipline engineering team, supporting Client Project Managers, and collaborating with BIM/CAD teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-discipline engineering team: Drive collaborative efforts to deliver top-notch solutions, ensuring that all team members are working towards a common goal.
  • Support Client Project Manager: Oversee consultants and contractors to ensure project success, shape project requirements, and perform assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with BIM/CAD teams: Ensure designs meet project and stakeholder needs, maintaining high standards in project drawings and documentation.
  • Review and accept project documentation: Ensure compliance with design intent during project execution, leading discussions to drive project milestones.
  • Provide technical supervision: Oversee commissioning and decommissioning, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
  • Deliver engineering presentations: Uphold Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality standards throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Qualification, Special Skills or Experience:
    • Qualification to degree level in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
    • Chartered Engineer status or able to attain chartered status (demonstration of continued professional development).
    • Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineer background preferred.
  • Project engineering of work packages, including site implementation/integration, within a highly regulated environment.
  • Basic health and safety training for site visits.
  • Nuclear safety case (desirable).
