Engineering Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Fitter to join our Manufacturing team on a permanent basis in Hamble.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Spares Stores in Hamble and Chandler's Ford, ensuring stock receipt, labelling, storage, and issuing of engineering spare parts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Utilise the company ERP/IT systems to carry out Goods Receipt and Booking-in functions for engineering spares, ensuring prompt and accurate transactions, correct labelling, and putting away of parts in the correct locations within the Stores.
- Issue-off extracted items from the spares inventory to the user, ensuring all stock transactions are prompt and accurate for quantity and cost-coding.
- Respond to requests for engineering spares, including picking the stock and organising delivery of the requested items to the user.
- Co-ordinate the process for Engineering Spares Off-site Repairs, including promptly processing items received, gaining repair approvals from Engineering management, preparing items for sending off-site, and tracking/handling the receipt of repaired items back into inventory.
- Provide support to the Engineering Spares Supply team in the engineering spares stock replenishment process, including raising new purchase orders, expediting existing purchase orders, and creation of new inventory items to fulfil delivery.
- Work with the Engineering Spares Supply team, Engineering/MSE, and Facilities teams to ensure inventory levels are correct and to identify items that are duplicated, obsolete, or surplus to requirement.
- Participate in inventory management cycle counting processes to routinely verify stock via a documented physical count.
- Assist the Manufacturing and Engineering teams in query handling to resolve any identified stock issues that could adversely impact manufacturing plan achievement.
- Good IT skills, working with IT/ERP systems, Excel databases, and MS Office.
- Full UK valid driving license.
- Counter-balance Fork-lift Truck (FLT) driver certificate beneficial but not essential.
