Job Title: HV Fitter

We are seeking a skilled HV Fitter to join our team in the North West. As a HV Fitter, you will play a pivotal role within the site services team and will be responsible for a wide range of duties on substation plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, refurbish, maintain, fault find, and condition monitor substation plant and equipment.
  • Installation of Control and Protection Equipment.
  • Installation of Earthing Systems.
  • Installation of outdoor equipment such as Bus Bar, Disconnectors, and Switchgear.
  • Maintenance of High Voltage equipment.
  • Transformer oil sample, analysis, and changes.
  • Carry out basic testing such as 'Ducter' Resistance tests - IR test.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years in a similar position within the industry or qualified at NVQ Level 3 as a minimum.
  • A strong background in Electrical Engineering with a thorough knowledge of switchgear maintenance and installation.
  • Experience of working on transmission equipment.
  • Competency with Microsoft suites including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience with retrofitting of LV and HV switchgear is advantageous.
  • Strong people skills and experience in managing internal & external relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical CAD drawings is required.
  • Management capabilities and ability to help develop junior project engineers within the team.

A Full UK Driving License is required.
