About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Music Department at our Secondary School in Newham. As Head of Music Department, you will be responsible for driving the development of music education across the school, ensuring that our students receive a world-class music education that prepares them for success in their future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the school's vision and values
  • Lead a team of music teachers to deliver high-quality music education to students
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to music education
  • Develop and manage the music department budget to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of music education programs and make recommendations for improvement
