Player Protection Officer

At Buzz Group Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Player Protection Officer to join our Risk & Compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in protecting our players and business from known and evolving risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for triaging escalated cases of fraudulent activity from Playtech Turnkey Services (PTTS)
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, including the Act, POCA, TACT, LCCP, and other guidance
  • Conduct forensic profiling of customer accounts and open-source footprints to build risk-based assessments
  • Engage in compassionate and meaningful interactions with customers to understand their circumstances
  • Move customers through Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures where necessary
  • Request and analyze Source of Funds / Source of Wealth (SOF/SOW) information
  • Ensure accurate records of regulatory reportable activities
  • Provide quality feedback to improve procedures and policies
  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide a seamless safe gambling environment
  • Present reports and escalate cases as required
Requirements:
  • Previous online experience in a regulated environment, preferably in iGaming, Bingo, Casino, or Finance
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including the Act, POCA, TACT, LCCP, and other guidance
  • Experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures
  • Understanding of Data Protection (GDPR) principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and report compilation
  • Ambitious personal drive, pragmatic thinking, and sound judgment
  • Analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build effective relationships and approach difficult conversations
  • Strong ethical standards and values, with high integrity
